The New Improved Chattanooga Zoo

Wow! That is all I can see....It has changed so much over the years and finally it is starting to look like a serious zoo. If you have not been there in awhile, go - take time out of your day - and enjoy what Chattanooga has to offer!

Kinsley has made me kinda, sorta like animals...Don't let that be known by many - Silke and Jerae will rub it in my face forever! Not that I want one at all! But I do enjoy going to the zoo and seeing the animals and mostly seeing Kinsley's sweet face as she gets so excited!

Kinsley and I got up early this morning and set out on our own adventure....Driving there she talked the whole way (she is so like me) so I'm driving and I hear her say, "Don't hit the tree, Mommy!" I told her I was not going to do that! UGH, a 2 year old!

We finally arrived at the new entrance and it was great to see the change....

The NEW Entrance....I did not get the whole front - and they are still working on most of it - but wow, what an improvement, huh! It is not located on the other side of the zoo as well...So you come in from a different area!

Kinsley rode the carousel, three times- changing animals quite a bit!

She loves the Monkeys, especially HANK!

This is one of Kinsley's favorite things to do at the zoo - run through the chains...Well she took off and started full force - I grabbed my camera to catch a cool shot, and the huge bird was right in front of her on the side (pic below) she screamed, ran the other way and was scared of that area the whole day, as well as when the peacock, flew to our walkway - on the other side of the zoo - ugh!

Kinsley and I love these little teeny tiny guys - we both said we would like to take it home!

As she is leaving the Monkey House, she said, here Mom, Take a pic here! Dear Lord! She is a ham...She now, will go up to me and put her arm around me and say, Take a pic of us, Dad!!!!!

Here are some of the animals that we like at the zoo....

Even the gift shop is huge and nice...I felt like I had been out of town, even though I have been to the zoo with Kinsley and on field trips a dozen times!!!
